There is a TON of information on the web so I won’t bore you here, and there are many other options other than the two I have mentioned. A common theme is that Blogger makes it super easy to get started (and is owned by Google) and that WordPress has more advanced options if your blog grows. I chose WordPress because I’m optimistic…and since I’ve been blogging for all of three days, I will have to let you know how it all works out if I ever get past Blogging 101.
Both WordPress and Blogger have completely free options. If you use the free option your blog domain name will be followed with either or If you want your own domain name without those then you will have to purchase it. If you just want to document the daily happenings in your cat’s life it might be best to go with the free option, but that’s entirely up to you.
If you are wondering can people take blogging as a profession, yes you can. And I have search on the internet there are many others just like us making money from blogging. The reason before I go into some tips to blog right, you need to understand the main role of your blog and what type of blog do you have. Different blogs have different functions to them.
Bev, I totally remember our correspondence about your twin headboard debacle. Excited to hear you are enjoying a fresh start on your newly named blog. And I know several bloggers who went through your same situation of changing their blog name and going through the loss of their old posts…or at least the need to change their old watermarks (see Alex from Northstory’s comment up above). Glad to hear that the short-term pain of starting over has already shown long-term gain. And you seem to have an invigorated spirit from what I can tell.
